Tar ka Gur (Palm Jaggery)

A taste of this gorgeous goodness will be enough to convince anyone that small piece of this would suffice as the most exclusive gourmet dessert.

When in season, certain sweets (especially like Bengali rasgullas, sandesh or mishti doi) take on a whole new avatar altogether, the flavour (and nutritional value) being far superior to the ones made with refined cane sugar.
